A Memory of the Light, part two.

My apologies if I was somewhat absent today in class. I stayed up late reading was and was not quite able to finish. I did just finish though.

it was a very interesting read. So much happened in the book and I think I am going to need a little time to let it all sink in. They succeeded, but the price was so high, with so much death and pain. I was not say anything further though, as I do not wish to spoil the book for people who are still reading or who might be planning to read it.

(Matt, if you do decide you want to read the whole series, I'd look for audiobooks. Each book is a doorstopper in it's own right and I cannot imagine how large the series must be in braille.)

The national braille library doesn't show it in audio or braille form at all.

I guess I'll have to stick with my homework for now or find something else.

You might need to look a little further then the national braille liberary, silly. I just checked and Westchester library will have the audiobook soon. If they will get that one, they should also be able to find the others. Or maybe Ms. Smith would be able to help you?

Oh really? Cool! I usually just order books through the national braille library, I never even think to go to the local ones. Ms. Smith's good about having the books we need for classes here in Braille and some other stuff too, but we don't have an entire library just for me.

Does she have access to inter library loans? She might be able to get them that way. Ms. Smith would probably at least have more access as where to find certain books.

I'd assume so?

The nice thing about the braille library is that the catalog is online and if you're in their registry, then they will mail you the books directly from anywhere in the country for free. I've been in their registry for years, just changing my address where ever I am.

Oh, that is indeed an excellent way for people to get books for there.

I do hope this might help you if you wish to find a book that they do not have in their collection!

Absolutely, thanks! I never really thought about trying other libraries for audio books. I prefer them in braille and that's really the best place to go for that, but that does no good if they don't have the book in any format!

Thank you Maddie. I would really appreciate that. Arriving late for class would be rather embarrassing.
